This conversation was on Social media. It was the second I had in a few days. The first, one, I tried to have, I was actually attacked by four other so-called brothers and sister in Christ. They were so rude, and called me many names.
This one, at least, the lady, listened to me. But at the end, she still dismissed the truth, and said, I was getting into legalism. Thats not a bad word, if we see the scriptures. We see throughout the word, God promotes His law. He tells us if we keep His laws, it will go well with us, we will be happy. God did not flip flop. Its so contradicting, to think He changed His mind, yet His law is throughout the Old Testament.
Folks, grace, is beautiful. But if you sin, because you do not keep His commandments. You are breaking that law, of sin and death, that Christ died for. Grace will not cover that. And remember He said, He did not come to destroy the law.
When sin is evident and his law is broken and the consequences are spiritual death. It offends God. Because you are allowing sin, by not keeping His commandments, His law.
Don’t let one verse, throw you off. Don’t pick and choose scripture, or twist it, that is a terrible mistake to make. For your soul. Study His word. All of His word. II Timothy 2:15. So you won’t be ashamed. And use a King James. See the corruption, in fake bibles. Get on the same page with God.
This is the conversation:
I see this so often. But many Christians don’t think we need the law. But we do. I tell you this in love. But the only law we are free from is the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2. KJV. Not Gods commandments which is the law. Psalm 119 Kjv talks about the law.
Yes it does say that. But its talking about the law of sin and death. Romans 8;2, as I mentioned. Nothing else. Not Gods commandments. See, let me put it this way, and again, I say it in love. Do you think God flip flopped from the Old Testament to the New Testament?
Let me just answer that for you. No. He does not change. FOR I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT; THEREFORE YE SONS OF JACOB ARE NOT CONSUMED. Malachi 3:6. kjv. So if he does not change, why do folks, think he changed his mind about His law? He did not.
Even Christ told us, that he did not come to come to “destroy” the law. THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO DESTROY THE LAW, OR THE PROPHETS, I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY, BUT TO FULFILL. When He (Christ) says, I don’t come to destroy the law, He is telling us, we still need Gods laws.
That scripture by the way, is Matthew 5:17. Throughout the scriptures, we are warned, to keep Gods law. The misconception, that grace covers it all, leads many to think they don’t need Gods law. But we do. If not…
Then we are breaking that law of sin, and death. That Christ died for us in. We are breaking commandments, that no longer protects us from sin, and death, because we are breaking Gods law. By sin. Does that make sense to you? Do you understand, how important Gods law is? We need it.
But ….., not everybody is led by the spirit. They need to know what Gods law is, so they will keep the commandments. Our will is to obey God. It comes yes, by the Holy Spirit. But if they disregard His law, they think grace gives them a license to sin, and that’s wrong.
You are right, its hard, to keep the commandments, but we have to distinguish, that the only law we are free from is the law of sin, and death. Not Gods commandments. Or His law. And many don’t see that. I talk to them all the time, and they will fight over this.
I don’t want to fight with you. But, I hope you see, that we need Gods law. We need His commandments. Did you know that if we keep the law, we can be happy? WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH: BUT HE THAT KEEPETH THE LAW, HAPPY IS HE. Proverbs 29:18 KJV.
Well its getting late, and I am going to get off. But I want to leave you with this scripture. OH HOW LOVE I THY LAW! IT IS MY MEDITATION ALL THE DAY. Psalms 119:97. KJV. That entire chapter, talks about the law, and His Holy King James word. Thank you for letting me share.
That is the whole point. God is a legal God.We need legalism. We need to follow His laws. To try and understand His ways. Legalism is important. You don’t hit ppl on the head with the Bible. In legality, but we better not be negligent when it comes to His laws.
Thats my advice.
And I will take this further with you “legally” you are not using a KJV. The Holy Spirit cannot show you this truth, till you get into a KJV. You are using corrupted scriptures. Not holy. So I hope you take that advice as well.
Have a good one.
